A late 18th century / early 19th century, circa 1800, black basalt coffee pot and cover with engine-turned decoration , 25cm tall, together with similar-aged black basalt teapot sprigged with figural scenes (2).
The teapot is mostly in good condition with some minor chipping etc whereas the coffee pot has been damaged to the rim and re-glued with some bits missing.
